Franco Zanardi

44 year devoted to Research and Innovation

Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Padova, he started to work in 1972 at Zanardi Fonderie S.p.A, in technical-qualitative and marketing roles. He has run the company as President and CEO from 1985 to 2011. Now, as Honorary President, he inspires the research and technological innovation projects, using the applicable results inside the standardization working groups dedicated to ductile iron materials, material properties dissemination and patenting activities.

He is Vice president of Assofond (National Association of Foundries) in charge of the economic and research sector. Furthermore, he is President of Confindustria Verona and President of CIM & FORM, the Institution for higher and continuous education.
